Fairfield County, Connecticut - The Region 

Fairfield County is one of eight counties in the state of Connecticut, and is located in the southwestern corner of the state. Twenty three towns make up approximately 625 square miles of land, which is populated by roughly 880,000 residents. As the largest county in the state, and one of the wealthiest counties in the entire nation, there really is something for everyone here.  

Although home prices have a wide range, the lifestyles and areas can be quite different. Each community has its own distinctive personality, and there will certainly be a place that you can comfortably call home, that will be in your price range, and that will have the amenities that you are accustomed to, or would like to upgrade to. You can live in the more rural sections in the Northern part of the county, you can go to the more upscale communities located in the southwestern tip of the county, live close to everything in what seems like mini-metroplis towns and cities, or live in just about any type of town in between. 

Some other important things to note about the area are the fine reputation of the public educational system, first rate health care and hospitals, great shopping, a variety of housing stock, and that real estate has always been a fantastic investment here. Real estate values here, rise steadier and faster than in any other part of the state, and the amenities are second to none. 

We welcome you to Fairfield County. Once you come to live here, you may never want to leave. I have been "born and bred" here, and have never moved from within the county's borders. Fairfield County is a great place to live, work and play. I expect that you'll feel the same way.
